"We'll be dining on the veranda this evening" sounds so much better. Not sure who they think they're fooling, though.
Anyway, the caption always gives the specs for the photo: “Taken with a Nikon D90 at 1/200th second, aperture f/2.8, exposure +1, using Sigma 18-200mm lens” or whatever. It’s always bothered me that often, the camera came up with these settings. via pogue.blogs.nytimes.com Good article, and I agree. Ultimately, I think the most important skill for a photographer is an eye for beauty, color, composition, framing, light, etc. Without an artist's "eye", it doesn't matter what she or the camera does.
